Jordan Declares May 1st Public Holiday Petra Jordan News Agency Petra (Amman) Jordanian Prime Minister, Jaafar Hassan, has issued a circular declaring a public holiday in Jordan on Thursday, May 1st, 2025. As per the aforementioned circular, "Jordan's ministries, public institutions and universities, municipalities, joint service councils, Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), and fully government-owned companies will be closed on Thursday, May 1, 2025, to mark the occasion".
