This message occurs after importing recurring holidays from an Excel file and gives you the number of recurring holidays that were successfully added to the Holidays Set currently selected in the holidays manager.

 

➢Before this message occurs, you may have also seen another message saying that importation was aborted at a certain line number. If this is the case, it does not affect the X correctly imported one-time-dates are in the holidays database.

 

Note that these holidays were imported using a fixed date recurrence rule. For example a holiday appearing in the imported Excel file as "April 2, 2002", would be imported with the rule "every year on the day of April 2", although this rule may actually be based on Easter or any of the other possible recurrence rules types.

 

The function of importation or recurring holidays from an Excel file is to:

 

•Import the holiday name and abbreviation.

•Supply an approximate, and simplistic, recurrence rule.

 

You must then supply the proper rule, possibly using the holidays rule wizard.
