The reason for this DTP processing message is usually that QuarkXPress was unable to open the document to be scanned or that was to be part of a diary generation.
Solution
Use force quarkxpress shutdown from the tools menu and then, also from the tools menu, purge all quarkxpress preferences (purging preferences is the solution to QuarkXPress problems in 95% of the cases and, even in the extremely rare cases when it is not the solution, it does no harm).
Alternate solution
If the above does not work, contact technical support (but do try to purge preferences first, as described above; half of the tech support email we receive about QuarkXPress problems are solved by reminding the user to try to purge QuarkXPress preferences).
