Below are the steps to follow if you suspect that your database server's configuration file is corrupted (the instructions below assume that the Q++ServerXE3 folder is located on the D:\ drive; replace D:\ by C:\ or E:\ depending on the disk on which the Q++Server folder is installed).

 

1.Go and sit in front of the computer that is used as a server (the computer where the D:\Q++ServerXE3\ folder is located).

2.Make sure that you have stopped the database server.

3.Delete the file D:\Q++ServerXE3\DbEngine\nxServer3x32.nxdbworksettings.

4.Make a copy the file D:\Q++ServerXE3\DbEngine\nxServer3x32.nxdbworksettings.init_D and rename it as D:\Q++ServerXE3\DbEngine\nxServer3x32.nxdbworksettings.
