Recommended Version
The 64-bit Professional version of either Windows 10 or Windows 11 is the recommended version of Windows to use on the computer or virtual machine, used as server, for the XE3 version of Q++Studio.
Other Versions
The computer or virtual machine, used as server for the XE3 version of Q++Studio, can also run Windows 2016 Server (64-bit), Windows 2019 Server (64-bit), Windows 2022 Server (64-bit), or Windows 7 Professional (SP1) (not recommended for security reasons) or Windows 11 (64-bit).
Latest Version of Windows
The computer or virtual machine, used as server for the XE3 version of Q++Studio, can also run Windows 11, but as of February 2025, it is not recommended, as it is still newish and rather incomplete.
