This QuarkXPress processing message occurs when trying to BOXFIT or BOXGROW a textbox whose shape is not bounded by a rectangle.

Note that "a textbox whose shape is bounded by a rectangle" does not mean that only pure rectangular boxes can be used with BOXFIT or BOXGROW.

The image on the right shows all the allowed textbox shapes, ranging from purely rectangular to ovals.
