The day tokens [dy+] and [dy-] display the days into the year, and the days remaining in the year.
Assuming that N is the number of days in the current year (365 on non-leap years, and 366 on leap years), then:
[dy+] |
The numbers of days into the year. Starts at 1 on the first day of the year and finishes at N on the last day of the year. |
[dy-] |
The numbers of days left in the current year. Starts at N-1 on the first day of the year and finishes at 0 on the last day of the year. |
Note that the tokens [dy+]/[dy+] are exactly the same as the [t+] / [t-] ascending/descending days tokens and can be used interchangeably. However, whenever other tokens such as [dw+]/[dw-] and [dm+]/[dm-] are used, then it is best to also use the [dy+]/[dy+] tokens to give a more symmetric aspect to the token layout.
