The Embedded Tokens Hiding minicalendar modifiers specifies that ordinary tokens inside a minicalendar should be treated as a normal token as far as the outside days options are concerned.

If this modifier is not used, then, by default, tokens inside a minicalendar are evaluated ignoring any settings specified for the hiding of outside days.
