You can use the Q++Studio worldwide public holidays database updater to ensure that your Q++Studio system has all the most up to date rules of the worldwide public holidays.
If you wish to use the qppstudio data outside of the Q++Studio software, then it is also possible to license qppstudio worldwide public holidays separately, as yearly Excel files, which may be used outside of the Q++Studio software. For more details, see the qppstudio licensing page.
Launching the Updater
1.Make sure that you are running Q++Studio build 24366 of March 9th, 2024, or above. If not, please run the main program updater.
2.Double-click on the World Holidays updater desktop shortcut (as shown on the right).
Missing Icon
If you cannot find the above icon on your desktop, you can launch the updater manually from:
C:\Q++StudioXV4\Utilities\Q++WorldHolidaysUpdaterXV4.exe
Where to Run the Updater
Contrary to the main program updater, which needs to be run once per workstation, regardless of the number of databases, the above Worldwide Public Holidays Updater needs to be run once per database, from any workstation, regardless of the number of workstations at your site.
Next Steps
Remember that applying the Q++Studio Worldwide Public Holidays Database updater only updates the public holidays located inside the Q++Studio Samples folder of the holidays manager.
To update any of the holidays that you may have copied from the Q++Studio Samples folder, you will need to use the holidays synchronization.
Logs
At the end of the worldwide public holidays update, a log overview of the changes is displayed. Once you close that Excel log file, you can always return to it and to past updates log which are saved in the Q:\Q++ServerXV4\Updates\WorldHolidays\ folder.
To avoid such a procedure, make sure that your network settings are set as described here.
