This InDesign diary generation message occurs when the result of a token located inside an anchored textbox is to group delete the current textbox.

➢Anchored boxes cannot be group deleted.

Usually this happens unintentionally in a monthly grid, whose monthly outside days setting was left to group delete, or if you are using the uppercase version of a deletion token, unnecessarily

Solution 1

If the reason for the present message is due to monthly outside days settings, then the solution is to change these settings to either show or blank, as shown on the right, or to use an ignore outside days token modifier.

Solution 2

This message can also occur if you are using the group-delete version of a token unnecessarily, due to the use of an uppercase Z or W in a token.

A common example of this would be the use of an uppercase Z in:

•zap tokens

•number of days minicalendar modifiers

•number of weeks minicalendar modifiers

The use of an uppercase W in minicalendar weekly bands tokens would also cause this message.

➢If this message occurs despite the use of a lowercase w, make sure that the always group-delete minicalendar weekly bands preferences setting is turned off.

In the case of weekly bands, the use of the :dnd do not delete minicalendar weekly band modifier would also address this message.
