Below is a description of the various options.
Full Weeks
The weekday on which the week number should appear for full weeks (ie. weeks where all 7 days belong to the same month).
Partial First/Last Weeks
Partial First Week
What to do if the first week of the month begins after the weekday selected in the above option (for example, you wish to display the week number on Thursdays, but a given month begins on a Friday).
Partial Last Week
What to do if the last week of the month ends before the weekday selected in the above option (for example, you wish to display the week number on Thursdays, but a given month ends on a Wednesday).
Week is Partial if
How to decide if a first or last week is partial. The 2 possible settings are either contains less than 7 days or does not contain the weekday above (ie. the weekday on which we told Q++Studio to display the week number).
If Week is Partial
What to do if the first/last week of the month is determined to be partial, according to the setting above (for example, you wish to display the week number on Thursdays, but a given month ends on a Wednesday).
•The Show on usual weekday only option means that the partial week may not display a week number at all.
•The Show on usual weekday, even if ... option means that the partial weeks will always display a week number, even if it is just before or just after the beginning or end of the month.
•The Show on the first/last day of the month option means that the first/last week will always display a week number, but not necessarily on the weekday requested above.
•The Move by a set number of spaces option tells Q++Studio to move the week number within the partial week to approximate a centered position. If the number of days in the partial week is odd, then the week number will appear at the position of the central day. However, if the partial week contains an even number of days then the week number is moved by a fixed number of spaces, as specified in the dialog above. This last option is rather approximate and the one below should be used instead.
If any of the above options is not clear, the best way to understand it is to test various settings and view the result in the minicalendar preview.
Center by moving to the next tabulation
•This option also tries to position the week number in a central position with respect to partial weeks, as does the Move by a set number of spaces option, above.
•If the partial week contains an odd number of days, then both options give the same result.
•However, if the partial week contains an even number of days, then this option will move the week number past the next tabulation on the right, giving a much more accurate result.
•As shown in the image on the right, this option requires that there be intermediate, half-way, tabulation positions in between each w# marker, so that moving the week number to the next tab on the right corresponds to moving it by half the visual distance between days of the minicalendar.
Note that the effects of the above option will not be visible in the minicalendar preview.
