Text attributes which are not supported by InDesign (red) or are not supported by QuarkXPress (purple)

This DTP processing message occurs when a diary is generated using InDesign, but the script contains commands for text attributes that do not exist in InDesign.

Some examples:

Faux (or electronic) bold and italic, which do not exist in InDesign (you need to choose a separate font for bold and for italic).

Text underline which does does exist in InDesign, but is not a simple on/off attribute; but rather is achieved by the use of a character style definition.

Text and text stroke opacity, as opacity is an object attribute in InDesign, not a text attribute.

The message will mention the code of the text attribute in question, and you can get more information about text attributes not supported by InDesign, and any suggested workaround, in the topic on native text formatting.
