This message occurs if you are using QuarkXPress 2018-2024 and the current Quark Info Pages File was saved in the file format of QuarkXPress 7-2017 (the displayed message will specify the 2 versions used).

 

The reason for this message is that, beginning with version 2018, QuarkXPress began supporting font families, so that all installed fonts were now visible in QuarkXPress as variants such as Thin, Book, Black, Condensed, ...

 

While this was an important improvement, it means that many of the workarounds that users had been using since the release of Windows 7 in 2009, may no longer work, or may produced unwanted results when using QuarkXPress 2018-2024.

 

It is therefore best that you save the current file as a QuarkXPress 2018-2024 file and identify and resolve any issue at that time.

 

Solution

 

•Change QuarkXPress Version Settings: Lets you changes the current QuarkXPress settings in Q++Studio.

•Change the version of QuarkXPress used to Generate, to match that used to scan this particular template.
