The Refresh Fonts List tool is used to update the list of fonts installed on your workstation, and available to the Screen, QuarkXPress, InDesign,and any combination thereof.

 

The Refresh Fonts List tool is accessible from the Tools menu of the main window.

This list of fonts can be viewed using the installed fonts tool.

 

The details of what this tool does, depends on the version of QuarkXPress that you are currently using, and if you are also using InDesign.

 

What happens when you launch the Refresh Fonts List tool ?

 

Screen Fonts

 

In all cases, this tool will refresh the list of screen fonts available to Windows.

 

This list of fonts will be used in the user interface of Q++Studio, as well as when using any version of QuarkXPress before version 2018.

In addition, if your PC is currently setup to use QuarkXPress 2018-2025 with Q++Studio, then launching the Refresh Fonts List tool will also launch QuarkXPress so that it can scan your computer for all the installed fonts and style variations, as shown in the examples above, and on the right, taken from the installed fonts dialog, and QuarkXPress, respectively.

 

Font styles are available for the versions of QuarkXPress, beginning with QuarkXPress 2018.

 

InDesign

 

In addition, if your PC is currently setup to use any version of InDesign with Q++Studio, then launching the Refresh Fonts List tool will also launch InDesign so that it can scan your computer for all the installed fonts and style variations.

 

Font styles are available for all the versions of InDesign supported by Q++Studio.
