int = GetHolAncestorIdFromTable()

 

This macro function returns the ID of the ancestor of the current holiday in the holidays table.

 

The ancestor of a holiday is the very first holiday from which a holiday might have been copied, either within the Holidays Manager or using the Data Pump.

 

Accessing the ID of a macro is useful in advanced holidays macros, when one wishes to make wholesale changes to all copies of a particular holiday, or to holidays that were originally copied form the Q++Studio Worldwide Public Holidays Samples Database.

 

Apart from returning the ID of a the current holiday's ancestor, rather than the ID of the current holiday itself, this function works exactly the same way as the function getHolIdFromTable.
