The special characters token to use to insert a Next Linked Textbox character in QuarkXPress and InDesign is:

&:b

This character will make any text that follows it start in the next linked textbox.

This is useful when you have 2 or more runs of variable length text where you do not want a certain point in text to be located in the first box.

In the example above the Next Linked Box character makes all the text after "the first idea" jump to the next box.
