The Q++Studio Main Menu is located at the top of the main window.
➢Note that many menu items are duplicated, for your convenience. For example, the exact same Convert QuarkXPress files to PDF menu item appears on both the QuarkXPress menu and the PDF menu.
➢You can use search box, located at the right of the main toolbar, to quickly locate any menu item by name.
The main menu consists of the following sub-menus:
Scripts |
The scripts menu gives you access to all the standard "File" menu items. The functionality that each menu item accesses are covered in scripts. |
QuarkXPress |
The QuarkXPress menu regroups all the functionality related to GridTemplates, their design in QuarkXPress and their importation (scanning) into Q++Studio.
If this menu is not visible, go to the QuarkXPress Preferences and specify that you want to activate the use QuarkXPress with Q++Studio on your workstation. |
InDesign |
The InDesign menu regroups all the functionality related to GridTemplates, their design in InDesign and their importation (scanning) into Q++Studio.
If this menu is not visible, go to the InDesign Preferences and specify that you want to activate the use InDesign with Q++Studio on your workstation. |
The PDF Menu regroups all the functionality related to PDF files, used either as script lines or otherwise. |

Data |
The Data Menu gives you access to the various Data modules, which let you view and edit data used in Q++Studio. |
The Macros Menu gives you access to the features related to Macros. |

Run |
The Run Menu gives you access to all the functionality related to the generation of a diary output file (verifying, previewing, executing, inspecting). |
Debug |
The Debug Menu gives you access to debug tools that let you see, in detail, what has happened when a diary generation has not produced the results you expected. |
Tools |
The Tools Menu gives you access to all the tools. |
Admin |
The Admin menu is mostly used by, and available to, the Q++Studio Administrator. Its various menu items are covered in the topic on administration and the admin menu. |
Web |
The Web Menu contains links to all the web tools (email technical support and web related features). |
Help |
The Help Menu contains links to all the Q++Studio help tools. |
Most menu items in Q++Studio have a keyboard shortcut, and many have a button on the toolbar which serves as a shortcut. For example if you open the Data menu one can see that the "Holidays" menu item can be accessed by the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F4, or by using the toolbar button representing a Christmas tree.
